Featured Trip of Month: Morocco and the Sahara
Spring, (i.e. mid-March to May) is one of the best time to visit Morocco, one of our new destinations for 2012. Read on to find out why.

It's the time of year when everything is lush and green, which can be a surprise for visitors expecting dusty tracks, wall-to-wall desert and sun scorched earth. The cooler climes make hiking in the Atlas mountains a comfortable and uplifting experience (check out the flowers!) , whilst the colourful markets and souqs have yet to welcome the tourist hordes that summer can bring, which means better deals can be had whilst haggling. And, of course, visiting the many sites that Morocco is so famous for, such as the Todra Gorge, Fes, Essaouira and Marrakech for example, aren't nearly as busy, either.
Luca Alfatti, a long-time crew member says: " Morocco is an amazing destination with so much to offer the adventure traveller. There's culture, there's landscape, there's adrenaline-raising activities like camel trekking in the desert or even kite surfing on beaches or white water rafting just south of Marrakesh. It does, though get very, very hot in the summer months, so I'd advise anyone to travel there in spring or autumn to get the most out of their experience."
With no jet lag to contend with, Morocco being a mere hop, skip and jump from Europe, why not take one of our first 21 day overland journeys there in 2012? It's one of the most comprehensive Moroccan trips on the market. Click here for details.
